Jewellery, words and the paths that have shaped me

I know it may seem as though I have completely disappeared over the past few years, as it has been a long time since I presented a new jewellery collection. In the meantime, life brought many unexpected turns and led me in directions I could never have anticipated, where other things needed my time and energy. The designs I had created years ago were left waiting for their moment, while I was learning how simply to be and how to find my way through each moment as it came.

It was during this unpredictable chapter of my life that a new dimension of expression began to unfold within me. A tiny spark emerged from my heart, filling me with a sense of trust in something I could not yet fully comprehend with my mind. In an attempt to make sense of everything I was experiencing, I began to write down my thoughts and feelings.

Gradually, that spark grew into a flame, leading me towards a deeper and different understanding of myself. What had initially emerged from a need to understand and make sense of my experiences eventually grew into a profound love of writing and expressing myself through words.

Through writing, I discovered a new way to express insights and visions that painting alone could not convey in their full depth. It became a space for exploration, where poetry, and later stories, allowed me to delve ever deeper into reflections on my own existence and life, art and mysticism, as well as the new feelings unfolding within me. In the process, I became increasingly receptive to an inner voice that spoke to me and continues to guide me. When I truly surrendered to it and allowed it to lead the way, its echoes began to flow into words, pouring out of me like a waterfall of untamed creative force. Within them, feelings, images and insights intertwined, each seeking its own way into the world.

Writing helped me maintain a connection with myself and a sense of inner balance, even during periods when life's circumstances tested the limits of my strength. Through words, I was able to better understand my inner experiences, capture fleeting feelings and thoughts, and give them form and meaning. Most of these writings have yet to see the light of day, but they remain a precious part of my journey and a testament to everything I discovered within myself during that time.

Throughout it all, my love of jewellery remained alive within me. It never truly faded into oblivion, but continued to glow quietly in the background, like an invisible thread connecting me to the sense of joy that the design process itself awakens in me. From the outside, it may have seemed as though I was no longer there, as though I had disappeared from the world in which I had once been striving to find my place, and that I had created or accomplished nothing of significance during that time. Perhaps this is how it appeared to those who did not know my personal journey or all that had been unfolding in my life.

Yet beneath the silence that accompanied my absence, much was taking place that could not be seen from the outside. My love of jewellery had never left me; the spark was simply burning more quietly, hidden from the eyes of the world. The joy I channel through the forms of my jewellery became a source of inner strength, sustaining me even through periods that demanded more of me than I had ever imagined I could give.

Deep down, I always knew that one day I would return to jewellery design. I accepted that certain other things in my life needed to find their place first, and that artistic expression, too, needs time to mature before it is ready to be revealed to the world.

Now, as I begin to reconnect with this part of myself, the forms I created long ago are awakening within me once more. Although they were conceived years ago, I do not see them as outdated. Rather, I see them as expressions of ideas that have retained their original strength. Today, I understand them with a broader perspective, enriched by everything I have experienced and learned in the intervening years, yet I still feel the inner impulse from which they first emerged. Their vitality reminds me that what is born of an authentic inner impulse can transcend the circumstances of its creation and remain alive through personal change. And so, everything returns once again to the same source: to feeling, inner knowing, and the desire to transform what I carry within me into something tangible.

Just as stories do, timeless jewellery designs do not lose their value simply because several years have passed since their creation. Even today, I enjoy returning to pieces I have already presented and to the stories behind them, seeing them through slightly different eyes. Their value does not depend on current trends, but on the feelings they evoke and the meaning they convey. Like words, the forms of jewellery preserve traces of moments, thoughts and fragments of stories. Their meaning may change over time without diminishing their original value. On the contrary, new life experiences can reveal dimensions within them that I was not yet able to recognise when they first came into being.

Today, after all these years, new collections are already taking shape behind the scenes, where sensual aesthetics intertwine with new dimensions of elegance, geometry with symbolism, and the timelessness of form with a personal experience of beauty. The creative journey is not always linear, straightforward, or predictable. Its twists and turns have led me in directions I was not initially ready for, yet ultimately brought me closer to myself once again, back into the embrace of my own essence and to the language of forms through which I can express even that which words cannot fully capture.

These new creations continue a story that never truly ended, but rather deepened and evolved in silence alongside me. Forms that have glowed within my heart for so long are now gradually coming to life, flowing from sketches into the lustre of precious metal. As they take on tangible form, they awaken joy within me and renew my creative spirit. Through them, I share an enriched perspective on the beauty of geometry, its hidden principles and symbolic codes, revealed through the interplay of lines, proportions, and forms. The forthcoming creations will thus embody the interplay of geometry, elegance, and symbolism, through which I translate subtle dimensions of beauty into matter and give expression to all that transcends the boundaries of words.

For me, their harmony holds something beyond mere aesthetic refinement, as these creations speak to the human spirit on a deeper level.

With Love,  Ines
